Outdoor furniture comes in various guises but for us there is only one option for style and durability - GRADE A TEAK. This hardwood has been used for centuries in the manufacture of fine furniture, ships and building. Packed with natural oils it provides a smooth weather resistant wood perfect for quality garden furniture - even when left untreated it has a life expectancy of 75 years!

Our Teak is sourced from renewable plantations in Indonesia which are tightly managed by the Indonesian Government. Plantation teak is no different than any other crop, except that the growing cycle is far longer - 60 years or more from planting to harvesting. The trees are continuously cared for by the local population and over their lifetime the trees are regularly pruned and the integrity of the plantations carefully maintained. Plantation teak is a better quality timber due to it being healthier and having a straighter grain with fewer knots.
